The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) will host its annual Soldier Ride in Babylon on Friday, July 18, 2025, offering a day of cycling, community, and support for America’s injured veterans.

The event will kick off at Babylon Town Hall, located at 200 East Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst. Registration and packet pick-up for the community ride will begin at 7:00 AM, followed by an opening ceremony at 9:00 AM, after which the ride will commence.

Participants will cycle a scenic route concluding at Overlook Beach. Two water stops will be available along the course, situated at Lindenhurst Middle School and St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School. Following the ride, a BBQ lunch will be provided for all participants at Overlook Beach. Shuttle transportation back to Babylon Town Hall will be available until 3:00 PM.

Registration fees are currently $75 for adults and $25 for children. These rates will increase to $100 for adults and $40 for children after June 30th.

For those wishing to collect their bibs and fundraising rewards in advance, an early pick-up option will be available on Thursday, July 17th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the American Legion in Lindenhurst. Day-of-event pick-up will also be available at Babylon Town Hall starting at 7:00 AM.

Parking for the event will be available at Babylon Town Hall. Limited parking will also be offered at Overlook Beach, with attendees advised to follow specific instructions to avoid towing.

The Soldier Ride is a unique cycling event that empowers wounded veterans and provides a way for the community to directly support their recovery and well-being.
