For those of use feeling cabin fever from being stuck in our homes due to the pandemic lockdown and social distancing, some good news from Mayor Ralph Scordino. On Friday, May 1st the E. Donald Conroy Golf Course, Argyle Lake Park and Southards Pond will be open in time for some (hopefully) pleasant May weather.
Of course, with COVID-19 still a danger, people who wish to enjoy the parks will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines as laid out in the New York State Parks COVID-19 Update
If you’re interested in playing some golf, there will some new rules in place as well.
- Greens fees will be $10, paid in cash at the front door.
- There will be no club rentals.
- All pins will be left in the hole
- There will be no sharing of clubs
- Only Personal hand carts will be allowed
Additionally, all ball washers and rakes have been removed. Face coverings and gloves will be available for those who need them.
The Village asks that that everyone act responsibly, wear facial coverings and practice social distancing.
