Local historian Sr. Anne Frances Pulling covers the history of Babylon Village from it’s early days into the mid 20th century. This is the first book I ever bought about Babylon and it still holds up today.

There are a lot of great photos and postcards as well as interesting history about parts of the Village that you may drive by every day.

This book is full of postcards, photos and information about our little village. A lot of the information is pulled directly from the South Side Signal, Babylon’s first newspaper.

This book is a window into the world of the old Long Island south shore and the halcyon days beautiful homes that existed at that time, along with a way of life that has vanished.

While some of these homes are still around, many more have fallen to the builder’s wrecking ball, replaced with McMansions or other modern buildings.
