Back in October of 2017, local author, naturalist and poet Tom Stock invited me to come sailing with him on his tiny boat, The Nancat. I took along my little, Canon point and shoot to document the trip. I got about 25 minutes of footage which I had planned to cut into a short video.

It was a pleasant hour or so of sailing. We went up to the bay, but turned back because the wind was a bit too strong.

A year and a half later, I came across the videos on my hard drive and decided to use the footage to play around with my new, video editing program.

Here is the result. In this five and a half minute video Tom talks about the history of his boat and the challenges he encountered restoring it and learning how to sail it.
