I left my home at eight in the morning, the Friday of the big storm. I was scheduled for my regular, twelve hour shift. Thirty six hours later, I was back in Babylon, totally spent.

I got snowed in at work. And not just a little snowed in. I couldn’t have left unless I had a snow plow. And not one of the little jobbies, a giant dump truck deal.

Of course, it wasn’t all bad. I got to put 34 hours on my time card and Debra got to shovel the walk.
