In an effort to get some more content for this site and to expand its perspective a bit, I’d like to get stories or guest posts from some of my readers. Come on people. I know you’re out there. I have the Google Analytics data to prove it.
I’m interested in talking with people who have bought or sold a home in or around Babylon Village or who are in the process of buying or selling a home. Tell me about looking for a house or buying a house or selling a house.
I’d also be intersted in hearing from Real Estate professionals in the area who would like to do a guest post or two.
Gary-
Have just stumbled on your website while viewing pics of Argyle Park. Lots of astute observations. Lifelong resident and homeowner since the late 1990’s. I can assure you, the West Babylon School District is underrated….dont rule out houses in the VOB that are in WB Schools.
TAXES TAXES TAXES that’s the dealbreaker on some of the 499K listings and new constructions
Thanks for the comment, Blog.
I’ll talk to Debra some more about the West Babylon School district, although I think that she’d rather go West Islip if we can’t get Babylon schools.
Hi Gary-
Checked out your site and MLSLI today for the first time in weeks. We are putting our house hunting on hold as our contract to sell our home was up in December. Ironically, the doorbell just rang and two real estate agents were almost begging to see if we were ready to re-list. Times have to be tough if you are going door to door. I haven’t seen such a low number of houses for sale in Babylon for a couple of years. (And in our price range, similar to yours, such poor choices too.) For now, I’ll enjoy my home here and put my dreams on owning a Babylon Village colonial on hold.
Gary,
Can you post an e-mail address where you can be reached?

I can write up a little something about how the VA mortgage works…
Shoot it to me, Redwind, and I’ll post it up.
Excellent. Give me a few days. And it’s similar to FHA, so I’ll just review my experience(s).
I know this is kind of a thread-jumping question, but maybe you have some insight:
What’s with two houses for sale on George Street? And another house with two boarded up windows. And another all crumbly and peely-painted. And then there’s the Gateway Life Center – what is that, exactly? Is it Totten Street creeping around the corner? Any insight would be appreciated.
