We were the second house in Mineola to get FIOS. When we moved here to New Rochelle, we suffered through cablevision for about 8 weeks before FIOS appeared. We switched back immediately. Verizon customer service for FIOS is superb; not need to despair, there. Based on our experience in the Incorporated Village of Mineola, yes, there is probably a separate agreement Verizon needs to reach.
