hey my family has lived in babylon village for a long time and we believe the reason is because the movie theater in the village is owned by cablevision. so cablevision could always threaten to pull the theater if the village allowed fios so i believe the village made an agreement with cablevision to not allow fios in babylon village. weve been having problems with cablevision and are unsure what to do considering we basically cant switch to anythign else besides dsl

Based on our experience in the Incorporated Village of Mineola, yes, there is probably a separate agreement Verizon needs to reach.

We were the second house in Mineola to get FIOS. When we moved here to New Rochelle, we suffered through cablevision for about 8 weeks before FIOS appeared. We switched back immediately.

Verizon customer service for FIOS is superb; not need to despair, there.
