family wise...you cant beat the indian or president sections for quiet streets, kids playing in the road, etc etc. and ridiculous resale value. You would be hard pressed to find a single person living alone there. It's why I don't live there!!! ha ha ha

Pleae dont tell me we now have a moniker of NoMo to describe a neighborhood...ugh

What's the location location location here? Is the Indian section really that much more desirable than the rest of the Village?

I have nothing against buying a cheaper house that needs work, but 78 Wampum is by no means a cheaper house. The ask on that house is a half million dollars. Half a million dollars.

Yes, it's on a nice, big piece of property (albeit a corner lot), but when all is said and done it's just a small, three bedroom ranch. I have a hard time believing that that house would get anywhere near that even if it was completely renovated.

Yeah, I guess. But aren't you going to "spend it" either way? Either they do the upgrades and add it to the sell price, or they don't and you add it. Maybe I'm not thinking about it correctly: Buy a cheaper house that needs work, or buy a more expensive house that doesn't...maybe you're looking for that middle ground?

I don't know, Metro. Options? You certainly have the option to spend a lot of money to upgrade the house, that's for sure.

Don't get me wrong. I liked the house a lot. It's nice and solid and there's certainly a lot of potential there for someone with vision (and a lot of cash).

To quote Dr. Venkman, "it's a little pricey for such a unique fixer-upper opportunity".

I really liked Wampum. The floors were amazing! And the attic was huge.

The garage was also very nicely arranged (storage options, back door, basement door).

And the yard is huge! You could have a serious game of catch, or soccer going on there.

And you have the option of completely designing your kitchen to your own desires. That's a nice option. There was so much space downstairs that there could be some knocking down of walls to make the upstairs bedrooms better, and have the kids downstairs. Or something. Lot of options at that house...
