Happy Mothers Day all. Gary, that looks like a 2nd floor Balcony..Fairfield!!!
Have you been peeking in my window, Blog?
Gary-
This is going to sound stupid, but if you are looking for a great quiet spot to raise kids…take a look at 78 Wampum Rd in the Indian Section. It is an estate sale from the original owner, so expect the Eisenhower updates…but it really has a great yard and a great location..I;m sure the owner is negotiable as the mother recently passed.
Once again, a lifer from the neighborhood can recognize most camera angles like the most recent shot of your kids, or the s. carll ave shot.
boy that other thread sure is a pissing contest….I just hope you find a nice place that you can afford in the Incorporated Village of Babylon.
I’d love to, Blog, but I think that that prospect is becoming more and more unlikely. The price differential for the Village is maybe more than I can justify. Am I really going to pay $50K or more for a house for the privilege of living in the village instead of W. Islip, W. Babylon or Lindenhurst?
Take the Wampum Rd house for example. $499K for a 3 bedroom, 6 room ranch house with one bathroom? That’s just crazy nuts. Especially since you say it’s an estate sale, which likely means older kitchen and bath and some maintenance required on top of that.
I asked Debra if she wanted to see it this weekend and she just got this tired sound in her voice. She says that the $499K houses aren’t going to drop into our price range, so why bother? There’s so little housing stock in Babylon Village that it seems there’s always a sucker ready to come in and overpay.
well hang in there twin oaks is viable..theres a fixer upper on nehring…and the unit on Edward Ave is a nice small cape either way…hang in there. As evidenced by the most recent listings…people are unfortunately dying every day.
