Posting has been a little light this week. This is the week I get to have my son over, so I’ve been neglecting the blog a bit. Here are some quick hits. We went to three open houses on Sunday. Nothing really that we’d think about buying, but there’s always something to learn. I’ve been [...]

I was out walking around with my son today I saw maybe a half dozen police cars on Deer Park Ave, all with their lights flashing. The street had been closed off from S. Railroad to a bit south of Grove Pl. Parts of the sidewalk were cordoned off with crime scene tape. I didn’t [...]

These are the six homes that sold in Babylon Village in the first half of August 2008 according to MLSLI’s intermittently functional sold homes tool. Homes in Babylon Total: 97 Babylon School District: 62 BSD and Under 600K: 35 Condos/Coops:12 97 Homes total is a low water mark for sure. [...]

I’ve been meaning to go down and take some pictures at Southards Pond for the last couple weeks, but I’ve either been too busy or haven’t thought of it. Today I took my camera and headed out, despite threatening storm clouds overhead. [edit] I changed the images to a more manageable, 600 pixel size. I [...]

From Bloomberg Freddie won’t buy loans dated on or after Sept. 1 that meet the state’s subprime definition, the McLean, Virginia-based company said today in a lender bulletin on its Web site. New York Governor David Paterson last week signed new foreclosure and lending laws that tighten legal protections for borrowers. The legislation holds mortgage [...]
